EMRIS

 EMRIS System was developed by the  Ereban Empire that had the ability to deflect all traffic incoming towards the area that the EMRIS System surrounded. Basically how the system allows such great protection is in its name, Electro-Magneteic Radiated Ion Shield. Even though it is Electro Magnetic, and Radiated, it is still safe for all ships with the proper protection against the shield to pass threw. The shield, however, will detect anything such as a Nuclear strike, and arm itself against that strike. The Radiated Ion part specifies that the shield will be denser by the Excited Neutrons. Because we made the shield so dense of Radiated Ions, No plasma or Energy Based Weapon can make its way threw. Its a complex system to understand, and which by most means are classified in order to prevent countermeasures towards the shield. If the shield is being used for a single area or zone, it will form itself into a dome, covering a surface area of however the operator chooses. When you are covering an entire surface of a planet, the EMRIS Genoraters will link together, via EDN, and will calculate where the shields meet together, and form one, single shield that can cover the entire planet, and it also is a safe fail system that makes sure that there are no holes in the shields, or weak spots, ect. It takes 6 to Cover a planet the size of Earth. EMRIS is a shield system that will under most circumstances, will protect anything heading its way, such as Orbital Strikes, Bombs, Nuclear Devices, Planet Glassing, Nova Strikes, Dark Matter Strikes, Plasma Strikes, etc. There are few weapons that will actually get threw the shield, and/or Over Load the Generator and shut down the Shield. The weakest weapon To shut down the shield is noted to be Demaga's Pride SHEEVA Missile, which with 2 missiles would cause the overload of the shield, and shut it down, or if it was a planetary system, the single cell.  There are currently 6 Models of the EMRIS out:


EMRIS 0: Standard Armor System Shields, able to protect ither a Person or a Vehicle, they are form fitting to the wearer's outline. 
EMRIS I: Basic, Portable shields used in combat to protect temorary encampments, and can span up to a 500 Yard Radius Coverage Area.
EMRIS II: Shield Systems used to protect Larger, more important bases that are stationary. It can span up to a mile Radius Coverage Area.
EMRIS III: Basic Local Protection Shield System, used to protect Cities, towns, etc, from attacks. It can span up to a 5 mile Radius Coverage area.
EMRIS IV: Systems used by Ships in the Ereban Star Navy. Effective, and made more powerful then the usual shield systems before IV. It can span up to a 25 Mile Area, though it will form to the ship's design.
EMRIS V: The Shield System Used to cover entire planets in defense against attacks, EMRIS V is the most advanced and effective system yet. It can span up to a 3,500 Mile Radius Coverage Area, or Cell Area, depending if there are more shield systems to work with.

MEF Kinetic Barriers

MEF Kinetic Barriers are the newest installment of shield systems in the Empire. It is based off the Mass Effect Technology discovered in 2390EC. It produces a Mass Effect Field around the object or wearer and causes the air around the barrier to increase in mass up to 50x the original density. The Effect is an instant wall of air between the round and the wearer or object the Barrier Protects. Usually, the armor suits can withstand the rounds from there if they continue to pass threw the Barrier. So the Wearers don't suffocate, the Armor system is programed to detect for warp waves, ripples in the air, small objects moving at high speeds, and magnetic fields that would be consistent with rounds flying threw the air. The Armor system, from there, warns the Shield generator in just fractions of a nanosecond, producing the MEF Shield just before it makes contact with a projectile. Unfortunately, the MEF Kinetic Barrier does not protect from Energy Based weapons, however, it is noted when passing threw the barrier, energies like plasma are cooled down drastically, reducing their effectiveness. 
As with the EMRIS Shields, the MEF Kinetic Barriers Have Five Models, not having one with planetary protection capabilities:
